English Puzzles 3rd April

Hi Everyone,

Here are a selection of puzzles to complete with different challenge levels. Orange is the easiest, green is medium, and blue is the most challenging. In each of the crossword puzzles there are two versions. The first with the words you need underlined, and the second without. Can you challenge yourself, and try to complete the second one?

Good Luck!

Free Harry Potter Audiobook

Hi Everyone,

I have mentioned this before, but Audible have a collection of audiobooks available to stream for free whilst the schools are closed:

https://stories.audible.com/discovery

They have now added one of my favourite books to the collection… Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone read by Stephen Fry. I have all seven as audiobooks and listen to them regularly. I thought some of you might enjoy listening to it too. It’s completely free, and you don’t need an account or anything like that, just click and stream straight from the website.

Enjoy!

For each task there is a reading source and a question sheet. You can type your answers directly onto the question sheet, or you can type onto a fresh document of your own if you prefer.

We are going to continue your art studies by developing your understanding of using colour and line. I would like you to draw at least one of the options above using colour pencil or paint. Use a 2B pencil if you have one. If you wish to draw more! Please do. Especially if you are taking up GCSE Art next year. You should be practising as much as you can. Please write two sentences. State one thing you have done well and one thing you could improve upon. Keep all your work somewhere safe so I can give you feedback when you return and we can stick it all in your sketchbooks. You can draw it on a large piece of paper if you prefer. Challenge yourself! We learn by our mistakes. Don’t give up! Good luck!

For a bit of fun.. why not try this…
