Hello Everyone,

We do hope you and your families are all doing well.

For your English work this week we have uploaded comprehension work from First News for you to complete. Each of the 3 downloads are in word document format so you can work directly on the sheets on your electronic devices. These are for you to complete at your own pace this week. Any completed work can be emailed to your English teacher for marking.

There are three levels of challenge:

Orange is the least challenging, green is a medium challenge and blue is a harder challenge.

Art Home Learning Year 8 – 20th April 2020

We are going to continue to develop your understanding of using line over the next few weeks, as well as tone and then we are going to go on to other art and design learning tasks / opportunities. If you don’t have a printer, please try and draw out the shapes on a A4 piece of paper and complete the tasks. Use a 2B pencil if you have one. Keep all your work somewhere safe so I can give you feedback when you return and we can stick it all in your sketchbook. You can also photo and send me your work via email so I can give you more immediate feedback. Challenge yourself! We learn by our mistakes. Don’t give up! Good luck!

English: Talk for Writing 1

Hi Everyone,

Here are some writing units for students to work through at their own pace. Any completed written work can be emailed to your English teacher for feedback.

There are three levels of challenge: Orange is the least challenging, green is a medium challenge, and blue is the most challenging. I have posted the orange and green units in their entirety here. The blue unit is a lot more substantial, so I will be posting it as a series of sessions over the next few weeks.

Good Luck

English Puzzles 15th April

Hi Everyone,

Here are a selection of puzzles to complete with different challenge levels. Orange is the easiest, green is medium, and blue is the most challenging. In each of the crossword puzzles there are two versions. The first with the words you need underlined, and the second without. Can you challenge yourself, and try to complete the second one?

Good Luck

Mrs McCabe
